About me
Member of NCPA since April 2008.
In 2013, gathered donations and initiated the Silent Auction held during each NCPA Book Awards Banquet as a fundraiser for a $1,000 scholarship to a local High School student.
In 2017 & 2018, instead of a scholarship, we switched our donation to 916 Ink, where children are transformed into confident writers and published authors.(
In 2019 our Silent Auction donation will go to the Sacramento Mustard Seed School, at Loaves & Fishes, where children are always in need of school supplies. (
Speaker's Bureau
Speaker's Bureau topics
The art of Doodling ... the noniedoodles way: by stream of consciousness ... for just the fun of it, or as coloring books, for both kids and adults.

The importance of a Critique Groups ... and what to watch out for in those groups.

Publishing with
Experience / Previous speaking engagements
Experience: I've doodled for most of my 77 years, but just recently did anything with them.

My noniedoodles-art has won 1st (x2), 2nd (x3) and 3rd (x2)place at the 2014, 2015 & 2016 Sacramento County Fairs, and I have several noniedoodles color books published.

Speaking: I've spoken at the Rio Linda Elverta Historical Society about my award-winning (2014-2017 for both Sac Co Fair & CA State Fair) Angel Food Cakes, Rocky Road candy & a variety of Fudge Flavors, jelly, cookies & biscuits, plus about writing cookbooks.

I spoke to the Renaissance Society Class at Sac State on 4 Dec 2015, about self-publishing through for memoir/ genealogy enthusiasts, and at the Arcade Library on 11 Dec, for a very short discussion about my books, including the noniedoodles.

I've spent time discussing, and showing how I doodle, with each child who came to my booth at the 2015-2017 CA State Fair Author's booth, and at each event where I've sold books, including my noniedoodles' coloring books.

I was asked by a parent if I would speak on doodling at her child's school, so I'm in the process of working on that, for any school ... or anywhere someone might be interested in my way of stream-of-consciousness doodling…. my noniedoodles!

Moderator of 1 critique group for more than 14 years, and 2 others off and on for 7 years. I'm also in the process of writing a handbook on the pros & cons of the importance of joining a critique group.
